Vikings used necklaces with animals or beasts biting onto a ring where pendants were hung. This variant consists of a thick, braided leather necklace that ends in Stainless Steel dragon heads and a large pendant in the shape of ‘Algiz-rune’, or alternatively the ‘Maðr-rune’. Both have later on been interpreted as ‘life runes’ or ‘protection runes’. The rune extends into the heads of Freki and Geri, the two wolves of Odin.
The necklace comes with a lobster clasp and the ring can be opened by hand, which allows for a switch of pendants.
