Jormungandr Hammer, Silver

A design in Sterling Silver 925 inspired by authentic Viking artifacts. It depicts Jörmungandr, the Midgard Serpent, trapped within the head of Thor's hammer - a display of power with the two being arch-enemies.

In Viking Mythology, Jörmungandr was tossed by Odin into the great ocean that surrounds Midgard. The serpent grew so large that it was able to surround the earth and grasp its own tail. When Jörmungadr releases its tail it will unleash Ragnarök – the end of the world – during which the serpent and Thor will kill one another.
