Valkyrie Pendant, Bronze

Pendant made in solid bronze depicting what is believed to be a Valkyrie. It is based on the original Viking Age item found in Tuna, Uppland in Sweden. The back has a loop that allows it to be hung on a chain.

A Valkyrie ("chooser of the slain") is one of a host of female figures sent by Odin to choose who among the killed in a battle may live their afterlife in Valhalla.
