A beautiful one-handed Viking axe based on a find from Sojdungs Fole in Gotland, Sweden. Just as the original, it has a brass cylinder on the shaft that runs through the axe head. Grimfrost in runes is stamped onto the blade as a "makers mark". The shaft is untreated, polished ash that can be treated with linseed oil or anything of your choice. A leather protector is included. The original is today located at the Swedish History Museum (Item no: 22297).

When my axe arrived, I was like a child at Christmas! You couldn't wipe the smile from my face. It took a bit to unwrap, because Grimfrost takes great care in the shipping process. Once it was unwrapped and I held it in my hands, it was like holding a piece of history! The craftsmanship and detail was amazing! The folks at Grimfrost really have their act together, and produce top of the line quality reproductions. I've since purchased a Seax Hedeby, and several T-shirts and a hoody.
