A detailed, high-quality Viking brooch crafted in solid bronze. It is a reproduction of the 9th Century silver brooch found in grave Bj 539 in Birka, Sweden. The back has a needle with a lock mechanism and the side has a hole from where it is possible to hang something.
The brooch was found in a female grave and has happy animal faces on it (possibly cats). Grimfrost reconstructed this brooch for the Birka Museum's 2020 Exhibition where a number of graves were fully recreated. The original brooch was carefully documented in order to get the reproduction accurate and reconstructed from the 1200 year old piece.
