Premium Kubb game with burned and carved artwork depicting the King and the Warriors that make up the set. The artwork is inspired by historical Viking Age designs.
Kubb is a traditional Swedish game that originates from Gotland - a Swedish island with a rich history in the middle of the Baltic Sea. Kubb’s roots are lost in the mists of time, but legend says that it dates back all the way to the Viking Age. That isn’t a bad guess, since the game could have been played by anyone with a woodpile besides their house. Everyone can enjoy kubb, whether young or old, strong or weak. It is good on grass, gravel or at the beach and takes only a few minutes to learn.
The objective is to knock over wooden pawns (kubbs) by throwing wooden throwing sticks (kastpinnar) at them. Play takes place on a small rectangular playing field. Kubbs are placed at both ends of the field and the "king", a larger wooden block, is placed in the middle. The ultimate objective of the game is to knock over the kubbs on the opposing side, and then knock over the king before the opponent does.
