A masterfully crafted set of 16 Younger Futhark runes, presented in a beautiful Taborska Pine box. Each rune is made from ash wood, aged and stained with a natural Bismarck Brown wood stain that is produced according to a very old traditional recipe.

The top and inside of the lid are carved with a traditional Viking Age designs, with Grimfrost in runes added to the inside.

The Younger Futhark runes are the second major runic system. They were used throughout Viking Age Scandinavia from the 8th to the 12th century AD, developing from the earlier Elder Futhark. Despite the reduction from 24 to 16 characters, the Younger Futhark became the dominant runic script of the Viking Age and appears on the vast majority of runestones and everyday inscriptions found across Scandinavia.
