Statue of Freyr based on the 11th Century figurine found in Rällinge, Sweden. Freyr was a much loved god in the Norse society. He was pictured as a phallic fertility god and associated with virility and prosperity, as well as with good harvests and fair weather. It was said that Freyr "bestows peace and pleasure on mortals".
A handmade, original design, it is cast it in acrylic resin and painted to resemble ancient bronze by a Swedish artist. This statue makes a great centerpiece on any shelf, table or shrine. It should be mentioned that a phallic symbol is visible on the figurine.
This statue is used by people in modern day Scandinavia both as decoration and in small shrines.
