A really nice, high quality apron in herringbone wool with a matching linen dress. Known as a Smokkr, this type of dress was a common garment among the Viking women who often combined it with a pair of turtle brooches. Our apron dress has figure flattering ribbons added to the sides. Such ribbons haven't been found on historical dresses, but that doesn't necessarily mean that they didn't exist. The ribbons can be cut away. Wear it with tortoise brooches and beads to complete the authentic look.

Undyed linen dresses were worn by most women during the Viking Age. This is evident in the 52 female graves in Birka, Sweden, that all contained fragments from undyed linen dresses. They were usually paired with an apron dress in dyed wool.
