This was a gift for another, and it truly is a beautiful piece. The craftsmanship and quality is really, really impressive. It looks absolutely stunning and makes a truly unique display piece. It goes without saying that they loved this blade. Will honestly pick one up for myself as well, it really is just that cool. The blade has exceptional length, and a really solid heft to it without being unwieldy. 10/10 Will be buried with it.

The leather sheath, is ok, but the belt loops always leaves the handle facing down not enough angle to keep it in the sheath. So careful wearing knife could slip out.

Even with a thick (4.6mm) blade, it's light in the hand and on the belt. Now part of my EDC (everyday carry). Came nice and sharp and a beautiful handle (mine has some burl). Super solid, top quality (as every Griimfrost item I've gotten is). Not just a show'er, but a do'er.

The seax is great, 5 stars for the knife its self. Definately a built like tactical combat knife, and something that feels good knowing you have on your hip in mountain lion & black bear and Grizzly country. Sharp our of the box, i did a little touch up, and is made from some nice steel. Will be doing a little more testing with it. I purchased it to be part of my viking kit, but it may just find its self comming along come hunting season.
The sheath is tilted the wrong way and wants to let the knife dump out, and the angle is off a touch, i actually put the point of the knife through the stitching when i put in the case the 1st time. I think the loops got switch when it was assembled, however I didn't it for the case. I will be building a new case for it when I get some leather to do so.
Overall a good buy, a fine piece, and real knife, not just a prop!

Apron arrival I determined I would not be mounting the scaberd in the tradition of the ansesters ! To long ! So on the back right side it went ! Next was off to the woods for review/ abuse ! To date I’ve cut out a pack frame dug up wild onions , harvested present back mushrooms & cleared out some brush in my way ! It has replaced my bowy knife as my side arm in the woods ! Grate Job Y’all !

I like the Seax, not so much the sheath. Blade could be a little thicker for my taste and while the sheath is completely functional it is what brings the score down to 4 stars in my opinion.
